So, there are various mentions of "Test mode" in Wallee

  1. my Wallee Space has a notice "Test Mode There are components in
test mode." (without saying anything about what exactly is in test
    mode)
  2. in a forum post I found "Wallee Test Mode has its own test credentials, to let you check the possibilities of a certain payment method."
  3. Obviously one does find various other mentions of Test mode here in the forum

However, I completely fail to see what exactly can or cannot be tested (Credit cards? Postfinance? TWINT?) and also how any of these can be tested.

Is there an enlightening overview page somewhere that I failed to find, where e.g. the "own test credentials" are listed per payment method? This kind of information is quite easy to find, understand and use on Stripe, for example.

Thanks!

Dear Philippe,

  1. If you click on the yellow bar at the top of your space, it will open a page where all the different components which are in test mode are listed.

  2. wallee has a Bogus Processor which allows you to test different payment methods.

  3. If you have configured a certain processor, some of them will have their own test credentials, or there aren't any needed to set the processor in test mode. It depends on which processor.

You can test TWINT and PostFinance by configuring the processors; these for example do not need test credentials. You will see in the transaction itself, that the transaction was done in a Test Environment. Credit Cards you can test either using the Bogus Processor or a processor from an acquirer you are using or plan on using, i.e. SIX, Concardis, or any of the following processors listed here: https://app-wallee.com/processors

If you would like us to have a look at your space and your configurations, please get in touch with our support team at info@wallee.com and we can have a look at this in further detail. Please mention your wallee space ID in your email.

Sincerely,
Dewi
